Your power rankings are stupid. Power rankings are supposed to reflect a team's relative CURRENT overall strength based on injuries and recent play. These rankings are almost identical to the NHL league standings.
Aside from Calgary (3), Philadelphia (3) Columbus (5) and Toronto (7), none of the teams in your list are more than 2 spots away from their current spot in the league standings. Only 10 teams total are more than 1 spot away. 2/3 of the league are within 1 spot of their league standings. Why not just copy/paste the NHL standings into your power rankings?
Now compare that with TSN's power rankings (also released today).
Phoenix (3), LA (3), Vancouver (3), Nashville (3), Columbus (4), Anaheim (4), New Jersey (5), Winnipeg (5), Detroit (7), and Toronto (7) are all at least 3 spots away from their league standings, as evidenced by their recent injuries and/or play.
